What's happening and when with Workplace
14 May 2024
Meta announced that it will be closing Workplace. You will be able to continue using Workplace as usual up until 31 August 2025.
1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025
From 1 September 2024 until 31 August 2025, Meta will be discounting Workplace by 50%. If you purchased Workplace from a reseller, please contact your reseller for more information.
On 1 September 2025
Workplace will enter read-only mode whereby data is fully accessible to read and you can export your data only. Access to Workplace from September 2025 until 31 May 2026 will be made free of charge.
31 May 2026
Workplace will cease operations. Any organisation which has not deleted its Workplace instance will have their instance permanently deleted.
Our account management and customer support teams will remain available for Workplace admins to address any questions or concerns.
Frequently asked questions
If you're a Workplace user:
You will be able to download your own Workplace data, such as profile information, posts or chat messages, at any time up until and including 31 May 2026 using the Download your data button in your settings, provided your Workplace admin has enabled this feature.

If you're a Workplace system admin:
To download and archive all of the data in your company, you can use the Download your info tool.
Workvivo by Zoom is Meta's only preferred partner and as such you have the ability to export your data to Workvivo (provided that you already have an instance and contract setup with Workvivo). If you have more queries, please contact the Workvivo by Zoom team at sales@workvivo.com.

Your billing and payment arrangements will remain the same until 31 August 2024. From 1 September 2024 until 31 August 2025, Meta will be discounting Workplace by 50%. After this, access to Workplace will be made free of charge.
